Is it a normal schwa, or a fronted schwa?

I managed it. I slept in bed, with the lights off, and no sound. The secret? Close you eyes before you turn out the lights and delude yourself into thinking they're still on. ;)

Ever since I was a little kid, I've had a fear of the dark and of shadows. I thought I had gotten over it, but last week it came back with a vengeance, where I had every light on in the house burning for a week.

Last night I managed to turn off all the lights and the TV and sleep in the dark.

I know, it's kinda silly, but the dark and shadows freak the @#$& outta me.

I can related to that. A lot. I'm totally scared of the dark. I don't know why. I just imagine really really unpleasant stuff that I can't see is lurking in dark places. You know? Just, like, really nasty unknown things. Or prowlers or something. I get so paranoid when I'm alone in the dark. I'm ok in the dark if I'm with someone else that I feel safe with, but if I'm alone in the dark I can get really messed up over it cuz it scares me. Ugh. I always sleep with a light on. I have a big lamp next to my bed and it's always on.

Do I. :) When I was a very very little kid, I used to see shadow figures dancing around me, and that's where most of my fear comes from. I also used to see the darkness peel off the walls and come and get me.

I was a messed up little kid. :)
