I'll be mostly incommunicado for a while, while we agonize over getting a phone or cable internet (but not both).

You can still EMail me, but I won't be able to respond until at least Tuesday.

We are looking into the possibility of getting cable broadband and broadband telephone (www.vonage.com if you haven't seen the tidal wave of commercials they have down here), and ditching our standard phone. Looks like we'll wind up saving money off of our current dial-up and phone line set up.

Actually, if I'd known where to go I could have stopped by in Austin on Sunday after the SLEC meeting. Instead I _finally_ saw The Matrix -- which managed to fill most of the time waiting to catch the bus that left we with a 2 mile walk at 04:00 monday morning to finally get some sleep (leaving from Austin, which was as far north as I could get a ride, instead of San Antonio) ...

Unrelated note: there was a European radio station that Alfred, a German civilian, always played at the Bitburg Base Service Store, which 2-3 times a day every day played ELO's Shine a Little Love (circa 1992), which as you might imagine got a bit old after awhile.

One day I tried to think of a crude parody to make it a little less bearable...

Shine a litte love in my life...

It's Armageddon tonight...
The sky is falling tonight...
Cities are frying tonight...

Needless to say I reached for a pencil and paper, and the first draft of The Martium was written...

SL, who really needs to try to find time to do something with the SHSNE album sometime and get it into publishable condition after all these years...
