Number Nine Fund = $500. :)

Well, consdering that I'm about to write about events of over a week ago, I think we'll just touch on some of the main parts, versus doing a day to day rundown.

On Sunday, as part of a "birthday gift" for my dad, I headed down to San Antonio for a visit. This in itself was really strange, because they basically said "Why not stay overnight, since you have a doctor's appointment anyway?" They acknowledged my doctor's appointment and invited me down. While I was on Red Alert about this, I took the offer, cause I REALLY needed to get out of the house. Besides, I had plenty of cash, and could always grab a taxi if my truck went "missing."

I left Sunday afternoon, getting there about 7PM. After I got there, we decided to head over to a really really gimmicky restaurant where you order off the walls, and your waitresses wear red cowboy hats and fringe vests.

Times have changed it, though. The prices were roughly the same the last time I was there (about...oh, TWENTY YEARS AGO), but everything was so much tinier, something my dad harped on. We all seemed a little dissapointed, finished our meals, and went for a ride downtown, where I put my camera through the test, and took lots of pics downtown.

We got home shortly afterwards, I called Emily on my parents dime (YAY!), and then proceeded to finish up the 3rd Anniversary Special.

Don't let it be said I don't go out of my way for my fans.

What was supposed to be a quick "clean up and upload" turned into the nightmare from hell. The phones in my room didn't work very well because my mother used the handset cords instead of regular cords for plugging all the phones in. The line kept falling out of my modem jack, so I plugged in my network card. I DID manage to make a wireless network connection, but it was so weak I couldn't maintain the connection to my Austin computer for very long. I had to wake up at 11AM for my doctor's appointment, and finally got everything done at EIGHT AM. EIGHT. THREE HOURS OF SLEEP..

Oh, dear lord.

But I did it, my truck was there, and my parents were very much working to wake me up in time for my appointment. I'm still trying to figure out their Quick 180 about all this, considering how opposed they (well, Mom) was opposed to it. Anyways, I ran out, and was properly re-estrogenated. Well, I hopeit was properly. Usually, the shot doesn't hurt at all, but this time, I was hurting badly, and for almost a day afterwards felt like the spot was burning. I was even thinking of going back to have the doctor look at it...but anyways.

On the way back, I stopped off downtown, and shot a whole bunch of pictures during the day, especially of the Emily Morgan Hotel/Yellow Rose Cafe, Commerce Street, the Majestic and Alameda. Considenig how SPECTACULAR those shots came out, I'm half thinking of doing the "Straight down shot" from the tower with this new camera. :)

From there it was an nice visit with Steph and Kim where we played catch up and had dinner at a fast food Chinese place. Steph has given Emily her Stamp Of Approval, which is an EXCELLENT thing, as she's pretty picky. :)

After that, there was more time spent at home, gathering up things to take back. With Dean's impending move out, I cna start bringing up more of my stuff, and I brought back my telescope...but not before trying out that Moon/Telescope pic.

The trip back was good, considering I'd had only three hours of sleep (I did take a little nap in Buda, though). Another chat with #9, then I collapsed in bed for a nice 11 hour sleep. :) The next night, I slept 10 hours. ;) I needed it after that three hour day.

All in all, very positive experience...I'm hoping this is an upward trend.
