Schedule the training class an hour before normal shift (this at least would be paid training), then mysteriously don't have it (no pay). And naturally, don't contact anyone in advance to let them know it's not gonna happen.

How to make the most out of that situation... hm. Discover the copy room floor isn't quite as cold as the last time ya tried to nap on it.
