TWO HOURS

That's how long it takes, using a relay operator, to install a driver.

I KNOW we have TTY lines, I used to WORK TTY.

i remember doing teh support for internet problems on a tty relay operator.

Yeah. Back when I was in EMail support, they put my on TTY tech support for about a week. In that week, I took two calls total. What we had was this IM type program. The TTY number logged into a main computer which set the whole screen up as an IRC type chat program.

Looked a lot like mIRC

For what it's worth, relay operators hate handling tech support calls, so it's nice to know the feeling is mutual. :)

I know that, as a relay operator, TTY users are always whining that there's never anyone manning the TTY lines when the try to call them. So they call through relay.

But I have had some efficient relay calls happen... it's just that morontic TTY calls are twice as long as moronic voice calls!
