Okay...I'm a bit worried about Emily who STILL has yet to get home, thanks to changing schedules and whatnot...I'll never use Expedia for flights ever again. Anyways, to kinda pass time till I get a call and to calm my nerves, I'll go over the vacation...
DAY ONE - Austin -> Nashville -> Baltimore -> Lock Haven
When we last left our intrepid heroine, she was just about to go to sleep at 2AM to wake up at 5, for an 8:00 flight. Our intrepid heroine slept through her alarm, woke up an hour late, and barely made it with minutes to spare at the airport. But she did make it!
The flight to Nashville was pretty uneventful, despite the lack of sleep and a terrified roomate constantly making sure the plane was still hanging in the air. At least he got to experience the hardest landing I've ever seen, so it won't get any worse for him ever. :)
Landing in Nashville, we got an expensive bite to eat (I haven't had a gyro in forever) and took the next flight to Baltimore. All I remember about that fligh was sitting down, having the plane pull out of the gate and...suddenly it was time to land. I was just completely out of it all flight long.
On landing in Baltimore, we took the completely and totally unecessarily long trip to the rental car place and grabbed a nice car, and drove to Pennsylvania. I made it as far as Lewisburg (where the cow is) before trading off with Dean and catching some more sleep. We made it to Dean's parent's late in the evening, and we both collapsed in bed.
Fun first day, huh?
