DAY EIGHT (REDUX) - Durham
Wow, I musta been high on something when I said it was a lack luster day, I completely got my days mixed up. With the help of a refresher from Emily's LJ, here are the things I glossed over in my last post. (I knew it was too busy that day).

That morning was the Win Lose ot Draw game, with Jamie Robertson & Mike Moon versus Jessica Silverstone and Jennie Breeden. The turn out was TERRIBLE, to the point that there were more artists than audience members. We did manage to find two audience folks, and I threw out the rules, since we just didn't have the audience foir two games (we just made one REALLY REALLY long game).

One of the words was antidisestablishmentarianism. Little did I know that Jennie and JEssica had made plans for such words, and drew a dot. The next word I chose? Dot.

It was a lot of fun, and hopefully, we'll do this again next year (minus the "home game" prizes...those boxes kicked my luggage's ass).

Lunch was at the "CAfe Feed Me" who had crashed the con last year, passing around illicit flyers and now had a nice full page ad in the con program. Not much on the menu (chicken burger, or beef burger?), but the cook's great attitude made up for it. Kinda like Brother's of Hamilton Square...get someone who uses the restaurant to keep their family in clothes, and they're always incredibly friendly folks.

After the Webcomics summit, Jamie Robertson asked me to come to the Subtext in Comics panel, which I went to after a quick run to the con suite with Jennie Breeden. I really wanted to do the subtext panel, because it gave me a chance to talk about A Wish for Wings which has a lot of my life in it, retold as a story about angels. As much as I love Closetspace, I like to think AWFW is the more important story. The panel was sparse again (except for the two Dedicated Webcomics Audeince Members, who I talked to at length after the panel), but a good one, since I got to expand and tak about AWFW for a change.

After that panel, we went upstairs for pizza, and a surprise call to Emily's friend Georgie about a sketch, and...well...the rest of the previous post about Day Eight applies. :)
