AWFW.
I dunno what happened to me, but I slept 13 hours yesterday...which means I'm wide awake right now, which I REALLY hate being awake right now. But considering I'm making a "quickie" portfolio of things I do, and the stuff I need is buried in a huge 50GB RAR file that usually takes three or four hours to pull stuff out of, I guess I should be grateful I'm not fighting sleep.
Wow, that's a run-on sentence.
Of course just as I write that, it pulls out the files I need.
I feel really guilty about this portifolio. They want to see all sorts of work I've done, but nearly everything I've put in there is a personal project for me...because no one ever hired me for a graphics job (Kinko's did, but I never did anything impressive). So a lot of this is a AWFW webpage, the Graphic Novel cover, the TACT logos, a page from the AWFW graphic novel. If anyone does ANY kind of research on my portfolio, they'll find it's all just me doing my own thing.
It's this bad Catch 22 - I don't have any independent artwork so I can't get hired to a graphics job to make independent artwork. Meanwhile the tech resumes fly out the door and they call back, despite me not wanting to ever work tech again. Maybe I just need to start investing some of my tech paychecks in Jack Daniels or something so I don't mind so much. :)
