I think I have the answer: Arctic Silver Thermal Adhesive

The 845g chip is soldered onto the board, so there's no reason I shouldn't use the adhesive (which is repeatedly marks in Big Red Letters: THIS IS PERMANENT) to lock the heatsink onto the chip. In order to replace the 845g anyways, I'd have to get a whole new motherboard.

Special thanks to Soltice for telling me "superglue might work" which made me do a Google search in "superglue heatsink." :)

Until then, I'll run the computer on it's side to keep the sink on the chip.
