While experimenting with getting a "crushed velvet" look for Carrie's outfit, I did a few experiments with spandex looking thingies. After playing some Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, I noticed how the light worked with the outfits the ninja girls were wearing, so I tried to replicate it. I figured out that if you take a figure, grey scale it, "paint" the outfit on a second layer, then blur and contrast the figure below it, you get a good "smooth lighting" effect. I think it works really well, and would work better if I could get a higher resolution picture against a blue/green screen. And a nude model. Or a porn site with hi res pictures of girls...not really being all pornish. :D
I hope the model doesn't mind...but then, if you're nude on bobblers.com (So NSFW) you prolly don't mind being seen. This gave me a good Spandex look, but not crushed velvet...I managed that by pasting a NEW layer of blurred color on top of cel shading.
And yes, I was playing UMK3, but painted this girl up in MK2's outfits. They were classier. :D
