Comics Updated! - AWFW - Or here if the RSS feed hasn't caught up..
Most people are more interested in CS than AWFW, and so a lot of my time is spent making CS look good, and a lot of my off time is made trying to get AWFW to look good since I wasted all that time getting CS looking good.
I've been really unhappy with how AWFW has looked lately, looking very "coloring book"-ish. Prolly because (1) Everyone is glowying white, and (2) the erode filter I was using to help make the pencils come out better using the threshold filter thickened them too too much.
So this time around I didn't use the erode filter and I think that fixed the coloring book look. And if I may say so, I'm REALLY happy with the way these panels came out. Panel 1 looks like they're hunched over a blast, and I totally adore the pre-blur Panel 3. It's one of the first times I've draw flying without any kind of reference, and I think Andrea came out great...
...then I had to add the blur to make it look like she was moving...and she got all smeary.
So here's a nice large version, unblurred!

The background was downtown Austin from the top of Mount Bonell. :)
