I actually broke a long standing rule about naming my characters. Normally, the last names of all my characters are counties in Texas, save for one story I wrote before I started that rule.
Mike Salazar was a boss I worked for who was all flash, no substance, and a real jerk. Just what a talent agency needs to hustle talent. I felt that name worked perfect here, although Carrie's interactions with him will be a bit better than my working with Mike.
