I don't believe in astrology...but you know, I totally believe in Mercury Retrogrades. The entire batch of CDs I just made have a bug in them.
No that's not true. IE has a bug in it. One of my pages played an MP3 as a background to the page. Now if that page is playing music, and you click specifically on one link from that page the computer locks up.
Works fine in Firefox. It's great in Netscape. Locks up every machine running IE in the house. And, no, I won't simply say "Switch to Firefox." 90% of my traffic is IE, so IE needs to be "supported." So I trashed all the discs, made new ones without the offending ONE LINE OF CODE and everything's working now.
Why didn't I see this when I tested the links? The browser I used to make the CDs, somehow based on IE, didn't lock up while I tested the pages from inside the program,
But what a shameful waste. Really. I need to start marking these retrogrades on a calendar somewhere.
