Parte the Thirde: D00D WHERZ MY CAPS?

The other day, I got an IM from a friend who
wanted to know how to build a magick shield. No
ones ever asked me for magick help, and that's
when I've realized I'm completely Magick Blind.
There was a while there were I felt every living
thing on the planet buzzing like a caffiene
addict, but it's all gone now.

I did my best, gave her some advice that was
given to me about visualization of flasks and
forcefields and wished her luck.

I just naturally assumed this Magick stuff wasn't
for me.

However, when I was literally "breaking out" back
then, there was a specific feeling I had, like
butterflies in the stomach, only a lot weaker. I
noticed this time around, the closer I got home,
the more I felt it and now that I'm back home, I
feel it constantly. I also notice that while i'm
here, my severely weak magical will works. I
used it to get The Uncle to go away by
visualizing him with crystal clarity being
pushed.

I wonder if you can literally ground something to
the point that it ANCHORS in a spot. I notice
here that I can do a lot of stuff I thought I
lost over the months.

Or, if maybe I wasn't doing anything at all, but
my mother is (who has a will the size of New
Jersey, and just as smelly), and I'm tapping into
that.

It may be that nega-psi thing we've discussed in the past. It's not something I'd particularly encourage someone to have, but it may be you can process negative energy for your use. Positive energy you can't use. In Austin, things may not be going well, but there's nothing else specifically negative. At home, there's specific negativity...and you can Do things again.

You could be the strongest magic user in Beirut. Palestine, maybe... :)

I suspect it has a lot to do with focused attention, but I will say it is possibly to strongly ground (or anchor) some or all of your ability to a place. In my limited experience with that, though, it was done by people who knew just enough to get themselves into a lot of trouble and were trying to make themselves more powerful by creating a sacred place.

We had a discussion some time back where I wondered if you might not have some ability with blood magic, particularly ritual blood magic. Perhaps I should point out that I wasn't just thinking about "blood" as the red stuff that comes out when your contiguous exterior containment is breached. Blood is also family. Holidays are a ritual. Your grandmother might have given you an answer to this question with one simple phrase.

I used to feel like that. This area for me has an power stored in it that I can tap very easily. However, when I am with my family, the same kind of task would take much more power.
