dolariI planned to step up to the plate this year, to pinch hit for a batter who had been out of the game for a while. Just as I was doing so, she tapped me on the shoulder, said she was okay, and I happily gave up the plate for her.
Now after some thought and reflection, instead of heading back to the dugout, maybe I should stand behind the fence and watch...might learn some of her moves and might even provide a distraction if someone needs to steal third.
