Tonight was Hard Drive Backup Night. After getting another 10GB in old old old backups, I finally created The Mother of All Backups.

XPs Defragmenter SUCKS. As does CHKDSK. So I installed Win98 on the Backup drive soley to run their Scandisk and Defrag before backing everything up. 40 GB of info compressed to 20GB. No losing anything now. Maybe. We'll see.

Spent the night with Dean, watching The Black Hole and Excalibur while drawing. I drew the pic of Andrea smiling for this weeks comics, and it made me happy to see her so happy for a change.

She's tending her flock, and she loves it.

I hadn't drawn the 27 year old in so long, over a year, that I had to pull out some old comics to get a pic of her, to make sure I had the hairline, bangs and facial features right.

Have been talking a lot with Alison lately. Between her and Dean, I have had many a good conversation. :D

I have 1,288 fonts.

You generally just have the funnest entry titles, but I love this one best.

Also, your fontage impresses and intimidates me.

:D The titles are usually the funniest things I hear all day, or something that sticks with me. If there's none of that, I get the titled from the Cube:

Refresh the page a few times. ;)

would that be...

I haven't counted my fonts lately. So I just did a "properties" on D:\Fonts\TTF. I get 13,373 files, taking up about 688 meg.

XPs Defragmenter SUCKS. As does CHKDSK.

Free utilities are worth every penny you paid for them. And those *are* free utilities.

Norton works rather better, but last time I had to run NDD on one of my larger partitions it took two days...

I miss the old DOS 6 defragmenter that would alphabetize your FAT table. :)

The Win98 one I like since it really does a nice job of consolidating as much as it can.
