Wow, someone didn't like me.

I finally got EMail service going at Dragondata, and it uses my old dolari@dragondata.com address. When I checked it out this morning, there were 1,700 pieces of mail waiting for me, nearly all spam. I betcha someone took my old address and signed it up for virtually every spamlist there was out there.

I figured maybe it was a one time thing, and removed it all. Came back, and there were 100 more an hour later. I wiped those out, and within one minute, there were 3 more. At least the spam catcher tags the EMail as *****SPAM****** which I can then delete on subject alone.

UPDATE: After some fiddling, I got SpamAssasin to mark everything *****SPAM***** and then Squirrel Mail to catch that tag and move it to trash. And then Pine to just read from the Inbox Only, so I can see that I only have Legit EMail.

Note to self: Check Spam Mail everyday for a week to make sure legit stuff isn't getting trashed. Yes, Jenn. ALL of it. :)

UPDATE II: Didn't quite work, but I think I found a better workaround using .procmail.

UPDATE III: GOT it. Pine now moves all the spam to a spam folder. Bad: Gotta download the spam if I wanna use PC-PINE. Good: Can just shell in and do it there. :) All this cause I love Pine to Pieces.

Must wake up early and hit the PO Box.......owe Kevin dearly.....offer him sketch....talk like Shatner....go sleep now.

Pine I only used once or twice the first summer I was in college because it required knowledge of UNIX and I had no interest in learning the commands.

Interesting... your playlist vaguely resembles mine. In weird ways. Mainly the Animaniacs thing.

I love Pine. I've used it since I had my University account. And through all the shell accounts I've had, too. When I found out there was a PC version, I grabbed it ASAP. :D

There's just too much to learn these days. :P *hides behind stupid defense* Of course, I could barely get HTML down, let alone much of anything else.
