I'm still iffy on the new job. As I signed papers, the TG issue came up AGAIN - the company's HR department had not gotten back to them on policies. However, they told me to show up at 9AM for training on Tuesday, and to expect a call from the HR department before 5PM. I still had a bad feeling about this job, so I decided to run a few errands while I was out.

I did my drug test. Picked up PO Box mail. It seems on the eve of employment...I'm eligible for it. Huh. It's about time...I coulda used it, oh, SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. I should put in for the one day of unemployment I'm eligible for.

I finally get home, expecting a call from the HR department. Lo, there is a message on the machine: Another company called for an interview. So I kind of hem and haw, and say I just started a temp job, but I'm willing to interview on Wednesday if at all possible. The guy said to call Tuesday Night for a Wednesday appointment.

So I wait some more, and finally get the call - don't come to work tomorrow, because we'll be waiting on the HR department to get back to you. Go ahead and show up on Wednesday instead.

One quick call, and I got an interview for 9:30AM Tuesday.

It's a job recovering data from corrupted hard drives. I don't mind that at ALL. Anything to get me away from phone work. It's also a digital printshop, which is another thing I'd rather do instead of phone tech work.

So, thank you to Serendipity. Things are looking up. :D
