After five years in Pennsylvania, I learned how to drive in ice and snow. Im no expert, but I can get around if need be.
I forgot, though, not everyone else can. I inched my way out of my parking space, on a hill, managed to get some momentum going up and out onto the road on ridge.
Guy going the other way was not so lucky, sliding across the road, cause as far as I can tell, its not maintained.
He got control before hitting the curb, but it was a good reminder that even though im a good winter driver, Shit Happens.
Im a little worried about driving home...thr apartment parking lot looks like its not maintained, and to get to my spot I need to make a 90 turn on the cusp of a hill going down.
And then there are my parents visiting, who have NEVER driven inice like this.
Buses with snow chains doing 60+ MPH are noisy.
