dolariLife in Texas is hot. But in Texas, no house woth its salt is without Air Conditioning. Up here in the northwest, AC is a rarity. And we're in a heatwave (95 today. Expected to be 105 tomorrow). Here's how hot it is in my house right now:

The front of this card has been coated with 8 bands of thermal sensitive LIQUID CRYSTAL, each formulated to displat color in the degree rance indicated. When the band color is BROWN, the temperature is at the low end of its range (for example, 70-71), GREEN is mid range (72-73) and BLUE is high range (74-75). The color is cause by aligned crystal molecules twusting around each other scattering different wavelengths of white light back as color. Initial LIQUID CRYSTAL research was performed in 1888 by Austrian botanist Freidrich Reintzer.
UPDATE: Holy Crap, it was 107 near the Seattle Airport today. That's hot even in Texas.
