Jun. 19th, 2004 02:17 amOh, well. I was against the thing from the start.
You see, a user a few months ago added Closetspace and AWFW to a list of web comics on Wikipedia. I'm ALWAYS iffy about getting involved in any kind of community stuff (See C/FO, FAST, Boulton and Park and that Otherkin crap), but this was interesting and I like reading it (I can have about 20 or 30 Wikipedia articles open at once).
Anyways, against my better judgement, I listened to the person and created articles for comics to fill in the list this person had added me to.
And as usual, it all backfires (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia%3AVotes_for_deletion#A_Wish_for_Wings_and_Closetspace), and they want it gone because the Artist Wrote The Article for Personal Vanity. ::sigh:: Remind me next time NOT to listen to other people, no matter HOW good the cause might be? :)
Either way, I don't care if they go away or not. (1) I read Wikipedia TOO much and (2) I never did it for the vanity and (3) it's not like it generated any hits.
I won't throw my hands up and get all huffy at Wikipedia though (it's still a worthy project, unlike the Adult Swim boards), but, well...what can ya do....
