I've been saying for years now that if it looked like Bush was going to lose the election, a "managed" emergency (much like our "managed" war in Iraq was) would come up, and he'd declare martial law. Looks like it's going to happen. Looks like another 4 years of Bush, huh?
Of course if it DOESN'T happen, get the hell out and vote, dammit.

Date: 2004-07-12 09:13 am (UTC)I was thinking either the faked-up terrorist attack & martial law scenario OR, giving the Dems the win for the next election or 2, letting them reap all the fallout for the Iraq war, the dot bomb, etc, waiting until we're all good and unemployed, poor, homeless, and pissed-off, then running some Good-Looking White Knight Republican who will promise us money, security, homes and jobs in exchange for the remains of our civil liberties & independent minds, and then proceed to make Adolf Hitler look like Mary Fucking Poppins.
Either way, Norway's looking better & better.
