I figured out how to make the shadows more menacing, without actually changing their design. I'm still gonna stick with the more spindly thinner shadows, but add a "Shadow Ogre" named Yukub Kakix (guess where that name comes from and win a prize!) This way, we have spndly spider shadows, and huge The Thing looking ogres.

Looks like this week's AWFW is going to be it. Maybe two episodes after that before we're into Black and Blue.

Uhm.. what popped into my mind as a possible origin for that name is something I'd rather not admit to...

There's a negative connotation? Do tell before I embarrass myself. :)

It's *embarassing* to admit that my mind works this way.

"Kakix" is a lot like "kaki" or "kakke"... Then flip around "yub" to get "buy" or (as my way to filthy) mind did "bu"...

bu kakke...

<crawling off to die of embarassment now>

It sounds like something out of Nation of Islam mythology, but I doubt that's it.

Wrong hemisphere entirely. :)

My guess is similar to Nathan's. I'm guessing some sort of Boogeyman from Hebrew mythology.
