Me: Bettas don't mate with non-bettas.
Mom: Well, those two are real close to each other. Are they mating?
Me: Bettas mate by making bubble nests. They don't mate with Gouramis.
Mom: They're mating. Why don't you see it?
Me: They don't mate with Gouramis.
Mom: They're mating. I'm taking the betta out of there.

Oh no! I thought we'd got rid of the evil twin Steve for good ... but it seems he's possessed your mom. I'm so sorry.

Is your mom menopausal, perhaps? My mom was a nutcase when she started going through it and didn't realize it. The lack of hormones made her insane.

I'd say it was post menopausal stuff...but she's been this way for as long as I've known her. But this is the "closest" (physically, not emotionally) I've been to her in a LONG LONG time.

I think the fact that I've been far away from them over seven years (cross town/PA and Austin)makes me realize how she acts.

Plus, I'm doing something that she has actively dissaproves of. And she makes it known.

Honestly...though....she had a hysterectomy at twenty eight...and I think she's bitter that she has two children, while all her brothers and sisters have (and I joke not) seven to eleven children a piece.

My mom is not a happy person. And she makes sure none of us are.

Then -- it's horrible to be around psychic vampires ... Steve's mother is like that, and he's susceptible to its influences, and is easily depressed just hearing her voice, let alone the suicidal longings she goes on and on about. She's seriously ill but refuses all help. *sigh*

Definitely get out of there! Go!

Eek, sorry to hear about Steve's mom. My dad's mother is that way. How my mom took on her mother-in-laws traits is completely baffling. :)

However, I'm working on getting out of here, adn right now, it kinda hinges on one person who ahsn't gotten back to me.
