I actually had a damned good day. :) I worked slowly on the comics, instead of rushed, and I think I managed to put up a good comic, with more posing and action than usual. And I was even able to take breaks! Dean and I played a BUNCH of MK2,3 and 6. And I mean A LOT of it. And when we were done, I walked back, and finished AWFW. It was nice to work at a slower more careful pace.
SUNDAY
Sunday, though was a bit more hectic. I'd forgotten that I had a doctor's appointment Monday Morning, and ended up running VERY late on Closetspace. Now by late, I mean "On Time if there wasn't a Doctor's Appointment" The CS comic lacks any shadows or highlights thanks to the rush. I finished it up at 4:00 AM...with a wake-up time set for 6:00AM....
MONDAY
This was a wierd day....
I woke up at 6:00AM, groggy as hell, and headed to San Antonio. Got there with PLENTY of time to spare as usual. I got my injection, paid my fees and then...well...now what?
I had been asked by dean to deliver some Rocky Horror stuff to a friend in San Antonio at the new Drafthouse. It was 9:30...they opened at 1. And I was dog tired. I thought about sleeping in my truck, but couldn't figure out where would be a good place to park and sleep.
So I decided to go to my parents. They had some breakfast waiting, and at 10:30, I decided to sleep a bit. I passed out about 11 woke up at 2. Delivered Dean's stuff, ate some lunch, but immediately passed out again (something about mom's food does that). Woke up again about 6. Took off for Austin at a breakneck speed because (1) I was gonna miss WWE Raw (2) I was gonna miss MK Fight Night on IRC and (3) Who knew when the next wave of SLEEP NOW would hit. Sadly, it hit at San Marcos. So I pulled over at 6:45, for a quick little rest, and the next thing I know, it's 7:20. ACK! I race back for Austin, feeling good and rested...but didn't get into town until about 8:30. I'd missed a lot of RAW, I'd missed Fight Night, but I wasn't tired.
So I decided to say "Fuck it" and hit the PO Box, to find my new Radio had been delviered. WOW. Usually when there's a radio on in my truck (the built in one no longer works) all the radio picks up is the engine noise. Instead, the first thing it picked up was a SAN ANTONIO station from 80 miles away. Since then I've listened to local radio AND shortwave (picked up a satellite!).
While I was at home, I checked out my old boombox (aka Amy's old Boombox. It works just fine, but is much too big with unshielded speakers to keep around the computer. I wanted a new one since the tape deck no longer worked and the power supply was loose in the casing. Sadly, even though they reissued the radio in 2000, they were no longer selling it.
After the PO Box, I ran to My Thanh and picked up THE BEST RAMEN IN THE WHOLE WORLD, some dumplings, curry, soups and candies at the oriental store, and came home. Wasn't long before dean was here and I made a second run for groceries, buying my diet food, but alos a few little comfort foods here and there (Pepperocinis! Guess what cravings are coming back?).
We finally just shut down about 1AM...I've been fighting sleep all night long so I could. I should go to sleep soon. I usually go to bed at 8AM, but I'm thinking of making an exception and hitting the sack early tonight....
