Remember when I said everything was going wrong today? Well...it still is...but I forgot about something until I got a cramp in my neck. I'm back on my cycle again, aren't I? Forgot ALL about that...

...explains a lot. ;)

I didn't realize that HRT caused cyclical effects on the body. (File under new things learned today ... Done)

Yup, your body tries to put you on a menstrual cycle, but from what I've had, it's not as severe as biowomen.

Back when I was on the pills, I used to get it 28 days on the dot. Usually sme minor cramping in the small of my back and I'd get easily annoyed. On the injections, though, it sure looks like the symptoms are worse. :) I get cramps in my back, neck and feet and get angry pretty easily. And my work gives me a LOT to be angry about already.

I'll betcha dollars to donuts that in the week before my shots in the last few months I've been a big old bitch. :)

How often do you get the shots? Does the dosage vary from injection to injection to simulate normal hormone variance? Am I way too fricking nosy and asking too many damned questions?

I get a shot every four weeks, with the same dosage (I think it's 40 ml of estrogen in one go). I also take 300mg of spiranolactone to scrub the nasty testosterone out of the system.

Feel free to ask. :D
