I would like it said, here and now, that I am eating regular food, and have only had two MREs this WEEK, both when I had forgotten my lunch (it happens a LOT, which was a main reason I bought them), and am only "seriously amused/borderline mildly obsessed" by them. :)

get you some from Ft. Hood. :)

It started as a way to keep emergency food in the truck for days when I forgot my lunch. Keeping frozen food in the fridge at work is a 99% chance of getting it stolen. So I needed something I could stick in the truck and get at when I forgot my lunch. Coworker uggested MREs and after getting a case, I became fascinated with them.

Like I keep saying, they're new toys, I'll get over them soon and they'll be emergency food once again.

BTW, I don't have Renee's EMail or number or anything, cause I'd love that pic of me and you. :)
