dolariI'm thankful for these things and people most days. But today is usually the day we actually say it:
I'm thankful for the friends I have, especially the ones who eventually adopted a gal from Texas who came up to Washington for love, took me in when my finances collapsed, took care of me when I became deathly ill, and cheered me up when that love I moved up for collapsed.
I'm thankful for the family at home, especially the family that welcomed me back as if nothing happened after ending my self-imposed exile from for fifteen years on the incredibly wrong assumption I'd never be welcome after coming out transgendered.
I'm thankful for the job I have, working for a company that has entertained me in an industry that I have enjoyed me since I was in 5th grade and can't believe I'm in. I'm thankful for the many co-workers there who have become friends, inspirations and have given me a hand-up when needed.
But most of all, I am grateful to my readers. I've been doing comics for ten years, and while they are not the most state of the art comics, or even very well done, you've been there, all ten years, reading and commenting, and allowing me to tell you stories: my life's goal.
Thank you all. I couldn't get by without you.
