Mar. 24th, 2013 09:45 pmThanks to a few awesome donations, and one hell of one, the truck will be going to the mechanic, hopefully tomorrow.
It's looking more and more like an electrical issue. Turning the key, the lights are bright and panel is well lit. Turning the key to accessory, all te lights and panels go dim. The truck won't even turn over.
With jumper cables, the lights are even brighter. Turning the key over one notch will dim them only a little. The truck, with effort, will turn over. But if the RPMs go below 1000, the lights go out and the truck sputters.
My money (and my roomie's) is on the alternator. My dad's is on a loose wire. Either way, I don't trust it...so I will get it to the mechanic ASAP, and hope it will be fixed before Friday. May take a half day tomorrow to get it there, then find a way to work.
