There's been a lot of likes and reposts and very little me, lately. So...while I wait for the laundry to finish, where are we?

It's finally clicked that I'm here. That I won't walk out into the living room to find Lissa watching TV and playing WoW at the same time. Or that the office here doesn't have Crystal and Liz working on art as a movie plays.

It's actually kind of lonely in that regard. For the last month or so, I'm the only one in the house. It's kind of nice, knowing I can go topless without embarassing the roomies, but it's also kinda wierd, knowing that in the big house, there's no one here.

I most likely will be inheriting Dean's car. My first real...well...car. Not true. I used to have an Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight that would start without the keys. After that was in a huge pileup, I got Cheyenne. I'll most likely be buying the car off Dean, then trading it in down the road for a replacement pickup once it's paid off and I'm in a better financial place. I REALLY miss Cheyenne.

There's lots of stuff I'm wanting to do, but the cash has all dried up. While I've explored most of Austin nd gotten reacquainted...it's usually only because I'm on my way to an interview, or coming back from my parents in San Antonio. I did manage to get away for a bit with Jeanne Thornton to a coffee shop in south Austin, and watch Star Trek with Laura and Alvin, which felt a bit more like Old Times in Austin. But I've yet to go to the Alamo Drafthouse Village, explore much outside of Travis county or...Go Out and Do Stuff at Places. Even Pinballz Arcade visits have been rare.

It's funny how you have all these things you want to do when you're employed, and when you're unemployed, you can do 'em...but on a shoestring budget. I did actually have a Doritos Locos taco. Pretty low on my list, but awfully cheap and doable! :)

I do have time for comics, and while I'm no where near the three times a week schedule I was hoping for why I was laid off, I am updating more often than not - an improvement! And while I haven't started my "Eat Only What You Cook Cooking Challenge" I'm cooking more in huge batches, which is saving on groceries (I'm on day 5 or 6 of the Beef Tortilla Casserole). Keeping an eye out for Tin Roof Blue Bell Ice Cream. :D

All in all, I'm doing good. I miss Seattle more than I thought I would, but I miss it less than I'm loving being back in Austin. I can tell I've finally adjusted to being home when I can pass a Taco Cabana and go "Eh, I'll catch it next time I'm around." :)
