Jun. 26th, 2013 03:08 amAnd it's official. "Senate Bill 5 cannot be signed in the Senate at this time, and therefore cannot be invoked." I think that's what was said.
Texas has always been in a wierd political situation, where it's VERY hard for the citizen to do anything politically outside of their own legislator, especially if they've been redistrcted out of representation. SB5 was a great example of most of the legislators NOT LISTENING TO THE PUBLIC.
The public won becuase some of the legislators listened and worked with the public to make it happen. THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN WITH ALL YOUR LEGISLATORS. They need to hear you, not the party line.
Remember this next time you vote, Texans. Vote the one who will listen to you, not the party liners.
