If I could sum up this weekend in two words it would be "Heart Attack." I fI could sum it up in seven words, it would be "Heart Attacks With Good Times In Between."

Saturday
We'll begin with Saturday...I went to bed Saturday morning with all intentions to wake up at 2PM. I needed to hit the Indian store to pick up the Frozen Samosas for Erin's party that evening. I woke up with a start at 4PM when my incorrectlly set alarm went off at full blast. I woke up screaming again (Heart Attack #1)....

After calming down, I made a mad dash to MGM Indian foods, and picked up the samosa, which Dean thankfully heated up while I gussied up. I finally wore my boots, which were comfy as all get out (strangely, only Michael and Pace noticed them).

The party itself was a LOT of fun, although having two simultaneous parties in two different apartments that aren't really all that close is kinda tough. On one hand, I was really enjoying Party West, but felt I was neglecting the folks at Party East, and when I went there, it was all reversed. Still, though, it was a lot of fun all around, and I really enjoyed it. The samosa were a big hit, I'll bring em to the next party. :)

Samantha got an MRE. That's what you get for making fun of me. ;)

I stuck around and got to meet everyone who I only saw for a few minutes at a time at the rememberance ceremony. It's one thing to meet a person, but it's another to meet them in a solemn ceremony for ten minutes while it rains on your head.

After getting home, that's when the troubles began...I had some dinner (snack food = good, dinner = better) and suddenly just passed out at 3AM. I don't even reemember getting into bed, but it may have to do with a dream/experience I remember while I was asleep...if it was an experience, you know who you are, and I didn't mind at all. :) I woke up after falling out of bed. Not the best way to wake up, you know (Heart Attack #2)....

Sunday
This day was pretty dull, actually. I didn't mind going to sleep early, or lounging around till 11AM since on Minday I had a trip to San Antonio, and those mess with my sleep schedules anyways...but I wasn't at all well due to bad sleep. I worked on Closetspace as much as I could, but kept finding myself drifting off into spaceyland, once for almost an hour. I managed to ink the three pieces I had by 6PM, but the other three comics weren't even drawn...then...I passed out. I woke back up 10PM to the sound of a box of electronics falling out of my closet. (Heart Attack #3). I stayed awake, realized Closetspace was a hopeless cause, and just hung around with Dean the remainder of the night, playing games and watching cartoons.

I finally got to bed again about 5AM...with an alarm set for 9:30

Monday
At 11:30, I hear a knock at my door and "Jenn?" For some reason, this scares the hell out of me and I bolt awake (Heart Attack #4). Turns out I over slept, and I have a 1:00 appointment with my doctor. I manage in 15 minutes, to get dressed, and in my truck racing to San Antonio. I make it with five minutes to spare.

Now for some eagerly awaited good news. (1) I'm properly reestrogenated again. :D (2)My tryglycerides are GONE and blood sugar normal. I even lost two pounds. Dr. Chase told me that "Your liver was probably processing a fat globule when you had your blood drawn" which caused all the numbers to go high. So I'm not worried about Diabetes II anymore, just about Christmas Parties with too much fat. He still wants me on the Tricor till I run out, tough. Serious load off my mind. He also set my next appointment up for 1PM! Wow, I can get some sort of normal sleep again! Sankyuu!

When i go to San Antonio, I go out of my way to buy food I can only get in SA. The past appointments have been too early to get anything specific and I'll have to wait for stuff to open, or get something quick for the ride home. Today I had the time and money and went to Barnacle Bills. It's a chain of seafood places in San Antonio run by the guy who does Bill Miller's BBQ and is really good for semi-cheap fast food seafood that isn't breaded all to hell.

One thing I noticed, and this is a VUNDERBAR thing, was while eating, I noticed the tart cocktail sauce for the shrimp was REALLY tart. And the rice was really strong tasting too, as was the tartar sauce. At first I thought it was just because I hadnt' had this in a long time. On my way home, I bought a Coke and it was REALLY tasty. I finally figured out what it was. back when I was ont he hormones in 2000-2001, I had taken them so long that I noticed things like how everything had a stronger taste or smell to it, and how I could "feel" things more, like the fibres of my blouse or the texture of the walls and so on. I figured the taste part of that is back, and the touch part isn't too far behind. :D Estrogen, I love you.

Agian, since I had the time, (and the sleep) I took the long way home, taking the Camino Real to New Braunsfels and the Stagecoach Road to Austin. Going down to SA I did the trip in 1 hour and 15 minutes. Coming back? 3 hours. :)

The trip was nice and enjoyable, not something I'd done in a while, and it gave me time to think, which my job makes hard to do. I was able to plot out some upcoming AWFW episodes, (You know you've been watching too much Galactica when you've got a character describing the creation of life on Earth as "Life here, began out there.") I'm now tryin to find a way to get a teacher character to describe some things about what's going on in the Angel World without it being a lecture...maybe if I weave it through the upcoming "Lesson of Patience" storyline.

There will also be an episode of AWFW involving Andrea's "remains" called "Riding in the Hand of God." And the training episode will be back as either "Tilted Halo" or "Harp within my Hand." Some folks reading this might recognize some scenes in "Hand of God."

Another nap from 6PM-10PM, and a night of goofing off...back to the grind tomorrow. I need a vacation already. :)

Oh, and AWFW got a little plug from Radioactive Fanboys. :) http://www.radioactivefanboys.com

Hey! I noticed them! ((pout)) ;)

I found two sketches; one looks very Pace-like, the other looks very Sera-like... may I keep them, and possibly make an icon out of them? :)

Oh, and it was delightful to get to hang out with you in a brighter dryer setting! :)

hugs,
kyeli

There would have been three sketches if the migration to Party West hadn't happened. :D Go right ahead. :)
