Aug. 18th, 2013 03:52 pmI wish I knew why I was so anxious about this job.
I can do it. I've done it for two days. Heck, I did it for a day when there was an actual IT emergency.
So why am I anxious? To the point that when I think of the job, I want to quit?
There's the disorganization of it all...so much last minuteness n every decision. The manager's anger. The training that amounts to "copy what the previous tickets say in that situation." The last minute firing of a mentor.
I'm giving it 60 days. In reality, I'm giving myself 60 days. 60 days to get over the anxiety. If it's still there on Day 60, Day 60-90 will be looking for new work.
Until then, despite the anxiety, just keep on keepin' on.
