To me, one of the greatest triumphs of fandom were fans basically creating remastered versions of Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea (which have never been released as no one know who owns the right, or even where the masters are), by taking the remastered French DVDs and editing the footage to match English off-the-air sound recordings. :)
