I always worry when the higher ups at a new place know who I am and go out of their way to say Hi. I can't tell if that's cause I'm awesome, or if I'm in trouble.
Maybe it's just the culture. At my new company everyone is young, wears sneakers, has Don Johnson shadow... You can't even tell if a higher up is chatting with you till halfway through the conversation, and that's an awesome thing imo.
