Mar. 13th, 2014 04:19 amSo what killed my data was opening a root file window as a non-root user. Opening it caused my root directory to wipe itself out not once, but twice. Thankfully, I lucked out - I'd copied everything to another drive the last time I installed ArchLinux (two days ago), and ntfsundelete was able to find those files on another drive. I should get everything back.
That shouldn't have happened, though - I think my install is borked. Gonna reinstall it again tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm pulling as many files as I can muster off that drive so I can get my stuff back.,
