Mar. 14th, 2014 08:38 pmAbout halfway through with A Link Between Worlds. I'm finding the overworld and dungeons WAY WAY too easy. Little to no challenge at all...but then you get to a boss battle, and they're incredibly brutal. There's no boss I haven't beaten without using up all of my fairies to revive myself.
The mechanic that's killing me, though? When you lose to a boss battle, you have to go through the dungeon again. And often, you lose the items you need to beat the boss with and have to run back all the way home to get them. This gets way to close to Majora's Mask Day One resets for my liking.
Good news is, I found out that if you exit the dungeon and save at a nearby weather-vane after you beat the mid-bosses and just before the Big Bosses, you don't have to start completely from scratch. Annoying but it's making the game a bit more enjoyable than Majora.
Still, slightly mharder overworld, and slightly easier bosses would have made this perfect.
