Jun. 3rd, 2014 02:12 amIn 2006 and 2007, when Emily and I were dating (if you can call one-to-two month sleepovers "dates") we never really hurt for much. I always had spare cash, and if we wanted to do something, we simply did it.
In 2014, I'm feeling super guilty that Tess came down for two weeks and is offering to buy a chair so we have something to sit on (I've never been able to afford furniture since coming back from Seattle). And that I'm missing a chance to see Amy tomorrow because I'm not just short on cash, I'm overdrawn and might not have enough gas to get to work and back.
Life has changed, and not for the better.
