Jun. 17th, 2014 04:35 pmThe next two weeks will be super super tight in order to make rent. As long as I spend less than $100 I should be fine. But it brings something to mind...
I have a fully stocked pantry, plenty of food in the freezer. I'm thinking of finally starting that ”Eat Only What You Cook” challenge. It would save me money right now...and possibly later when the cash flow resumes.
The rules of the challenge are pretty simple. Eat only what you cook. The only exceptions being when some one invites you over or out to eat, you attend an event that serves food, special occasions (birthdays) or something special when you are out of town (such as the German stuff we had in Fredericksburg).
The goal us to cut down on going out to eat, practice more cooking, and, generally, eat healthier.
Food will be tight for two weeks, but with plenty of rice and pork in the freezer, I should be good. Once the bread runs out, I'll make more home made!
What do you, the viewer at home, think?
