I've kept quiet about the Schaivo case, mainly because So Many Good Words have already been said about it.

But, to me, it's not about saving the non-life of a woman, or politicians trying to get re-elceted by Taking A Stand. To me, it's all part of a bigger issue we're going to have to deal with soon: The Mississippification of the US.

Now I may start sounding like Alex Jones of Infowars.com (someone I take with some serious mountainsized grains of salt), but you know what I see in this case? Remember the gay marriage issue? With all the "rogue judges? And now Congress simply "taking" jursidiction of this case from those judges? I'm almost sure what we're seeng is the beginning of the end for state level judges. I'm seeing the Feds say "It doens't matter what they say, we're above them." I'm seeing the Emperor declaring all those Jedi are evil.

I've said it once, I'll say it again, but now I'm going to amend it:

Before Bush's Term is Out, One or Two States with Seceed from the Union. Either because Bush has gone too far (Western States), or because he has not gone far enough (Southeastern States) .

And if no one seceeds, and the Mississippification continues, we may even have a Civil War on our hands by 2020.

I don't like talking politics here, and I hate sounding like Alex Jones, but this is a scary time, if you care about your rights.

This fight is about government's ability to tell you how to live and die. Seriously. Losing this case and having to go through days of the citizens watching this woman slowly starve to death when convicted murderers get humane deaths would be devastating to planned government dominion.

2020 is optimistic.

So is civil war.

Fortunately, there was a bright spot today...

I told a couple of friends what I would like to see happen, and today the judge did it (though not how I would have phrased it).

In short, what I said I wanted to happen was the Federal judge tell the parents, "The Federal courts are not here to listen to you if you don't like what the state court has decided. That's what the state appeals courts are for."

You're forgetting the oft-overlooked midwest.
I plan to personally start a secession campaign when I get back to Minnesota.
None of this 'declaring independence' crap. Minnesota couldn't stand up to the other 49 states alone, and we are not taking allies from the rest of the midwest. The Dakotas? Even if the whole population was on our side, that'd be three guys and a skunk. Wisconsin? I wouldn't want to risk division in the ranks when football season starts up again. Iowa? Please.
No, sir! There will be no bloody revolution, no declaration of independence. In the dead of night, the Minnesotans will rise up with their shovels and rakes and implements of destruction and move all of the Canadian border posts to the other end of the state. We'd cunningly change all the stationary and road signs as well, and bada bing, we're living in Southern Ontario.
Not a chance in hell this administration would ever notice. It's Bushproof.
