Dec. 10th, 2014 09:43 pmWhen I first started working at Nintendo, I'd come off a string of layoffs and engineered firings, and was actually having minor panics when it came time to swipe my badge. Four years of a positive work experience changed that.
Now I'm a lot more confident in myself. I've come off a string of bad jobs, jobs where I was confident enough to say "This much and NO MORE." Coming back, I'm feeling incredibly good - I can do the job, I've done it, I enjoyed it. I'm not panicking when swiping badges, or getting criticism.
My job ethic came from me on the constant worry that I would be fired if I was anything less than perfect. Now my job ethic is based on "I am good at what I do." I'm not the worrier or fretter I was before. And even I can see it.
