You may have noticed I haven't said much about Bruce Jenner's big reveal. Well...you know...between the Transparent arguments, the huge numbers of transfolk who've passed away this year alone and the political onslaught on us...
...I'm kinda transed-out. Much luck and love to Bruce in Bruce's future. Loved you growing up as a kid, love you going forward. But right now...I'm just gonna not think about it.

As for Bruce Jenner, I'd hope their transition goes well. Of course, having money won't hurt those odds. (I should check if Lana Wachowski's spoken publically about her transition. I'm not really one for celebrity, but I will say, I do tend to really enjoy their work, even if the second and third Matrix films really needed much tighter editing. Cloud Atlas was outstanding, and I absolutely loved Jupiter Ascending)

Date: 2015-05-05 03:10 am (UTC)Many are not okay with that. Many are VERY not. And I've been called everything from an Uncle Tom to a traitor. So much so that I don't want to watch the show anymore because it brings up bad memories of the ARGUMENTS about it
It's actually not...terrible. There are some seriously cringe worthy moments of it...but the last half of the season is almost my transition verbatim.
(In fact, Closetspace BEGAN life as that very TV show I was trying to make in the 90s...and was pitched to the BBC in 2013 as part of their Trans Comedy Award...I came in the top 25% - http://dolari.net/pub/ClosetspaceTV%20(1).pdf )
