$90 for a replacement hard drive, $60 for replacement power cable, $90 for a new battery. So..replace the parts, or just get a while new laptop?

Agh! If the initial remote project had started, as intended all along, I could be of some help. It's possible I have some kind of 2.5" HD kicking around, but a PSU.. if you were in the Bay, I'd know who to ask. Actually, maybe I'll see if rabitguy can help anyway. His warren's pretty much a miniature Weird Stuff. =:) What model are we looking at?
