dolariWe've run into another serious issue, that this time, is going to affect the comic itself. Around Sunday, after coming home from work, the laptop I make the comics on went kablooey. The power supply, the battery and hard drive went out. While I was able to rescue the important stuff off of the hard drive, the drive itself is dead.
I'm able to get the computer to run via an Ubuntu Live CD, but the computer reboots occasionally, the trackpad stops working, and it's not a good environment for making comics. So, unfortunately, the comics are on hiatus until I can get this taken care of.
The problem is - as you may remember - I had to ask for money just to get shoes (which fit great, by the way) and glasses (which I'll get next week). There's no way I can afford a new computer. And I'll need your help to get a replacement. I'd prefereably like to get one to help make comics, versus the gaming rig I was using, so I'm not looking for a massive top of the line system.
I do have a 90s era PC that I may be able to jury-rig to make comics, but it's severely underpowered, and not even network capable.
Anything you can help with is appreciated.
