Huh....if I do the Redskirts thing....I COULD just go whole hog, and make it happen on the Phase II Enterprise. Make it the first year of the second five year mission (aka, the actual Phase II series).

Hell, this could just be Phase II period. The only problem there is that Chekov is already security chief during the Phase II series.

There's always Second Life as a venue.. I haven't really looked around, but there do seem to be Trek goodies available, saving the time of constructing the sets, although that's certainly an option.
