Finally in a place (hardware wise) where art can be done again.

As I'd mentioned, the touch screen wasn't a problem for sketching, it couldn't ink. The problem was, Windows 10, GIMP and my Wacom Bamboo tablet couldn't get along. There were HUGE delays and lag meaning I couldn't ink in real time.

Installing ArchLinux, and using GIMP and the tablet in its native environment worked WONDERFULLY. So at least I can "pencil" and ink digitally, which is why I got a tablet-easel-laptop thing to begin with!

Anyone know a good stream thingy for Linux? I could start the livestreams again. :)

Do you find it easier drawing with a tablet without a display, versus just pencil and paper? I've tried, but it doesn't seem to come very easily for me. Still, maybe I ought to persist.. but, there's something about the tactility of the pencil, especially once you play with soft leads like 6B for shading.

Of course, I ought to first get back to drawing in any medium.. ^_^;

I actually find it easier on pen and paper. I've yet to find a stylus that gives me the control and accuracy on this screen, which is sad. I can draw on my 3DS just fine, but that's a resistive touchscreen, and the laptop is capacitive.
