Sep. 27th, 2015 11:43 amThe more I watch Boy Meets Girl, the more I realize Closetspace may not be a good fit for modern day audiences. The whole Boy Meets Girl series is only running six episodes.
Closetspace was designed in 1994 with twenty six episodes. And the first five are not really good examples of the rest of the series. The first episode explains the premise, the next the are character pieces to really introduce us to a Allison, Heidi and Carrie (one episode a piece, and each being somewhat wacky and funny to draw in an audience), and then episode five begins the series proper (notice is called Beginnings?)
If I'd won, Closetspace had enough material for four years. But year one would not have been what to expect from year two through four. If we'd even gone that far.
Plus, it's more wacky surrealist sitcom in its first five episodes, and MASH for the remaining twenty.
Would that even hold up in today's television audience? I think my premise, as it is now, shows its age (it's I'd enough to drink!).
