Rather than watch Transparent, I'm going to read the synopsis and reviews. If you hear screaming, its likely me.

Still maintain that Maura is not the problem with the show (minus the drag talent show...That was very angry making)...It's the unlikable to despicable every one else who turned me off to the show.

Not to mention the terrible cliffhanger at the end of the first season. That's bad writing....

I've still yet to see any, but it's certainly courted its controversies. It does, at least, appear to be genuine in its outlook, rather than being yet another token outlet:

My take on it is...well...its a story that happened to someone else, that a different person is trying to tell. Some of it rings true, some of it doesn't. Some of it feels like it's been filled in with wrong information.

Boy Meets Girl is a billion times better...(maybe TOO better).

Yup, I only made it through 3 or 4 episodes because of all the jerks.
