Are those plantains? I've seen them around, but never actually played with them, probably as they keep seeming to call out for oil in cooking, and I usually tend to be quite light with oil.
D'oh! Yes, I'm familiar with cucumbers. ^_^ Admittedly, not often, but I'm a huge fan of them as part of the botanicals in Martin Miller's Gin, a most sublimely smooth creation. (Goes fantastically with Fever Tree's elderflower tonic, too)
