You climb a mountain, only to find another mountain behind it. That's how I often see the transgender fight in this country. And I'm very tired of climbing mountains.
But I know what happens if I don't. It's called North Carolina and Mississippi

Thankfully, it's all going far from unnoticed, as we see from Lionsgate pulling productions from NC, and Sprinsteen cancelling his gig. It's not going to be an easy road, certainly - FSM knows I was hopeful with Hawaii looking set to break open marriage equality back in the mid-90s, only to find the Catholic and Mormon churches pump all their money into ensuring they didn't lose there - but the sentiment trend is in favor of acceptance, inexorably. We all need to continue our own parts to ensure that continues.
